HYPE WALLET

Privacy policy.

What stays on your device. What the network sees.

Scope

This policy explains how Hype Wallet handles information in its iPhone app. Hype Wallet is an independent self-custody wallet for HyperEVM and Ethereum. It is not an official Hyperliquid product. For publisher and privacy contact details, visit the Support page linked from Settings.

Recovery phrases and private keys

Wallet creation and recovery phrase validation run on your device. Recovery phrases are stored in the iOS Keychain using device-only protection. On physical iPhones, key access requires system authentication and a device passcode. Recovery phrases and private keys are not sent to us or to network providers, synced to iCloud, or included in app analytics. There is no recovery service that can reconstruct a lost phrase. Keep a separate offline backup for every wallet.

Information on your device

The app stores wallet names, public addresses, selected icons, backup status, address-book entries, goals, imported token details, outgoing transaction records and observed portfolio values on your device. The current app stores these records in a protected file excluded from device backups. Recovery phrases are kept separately in Keychain. Preferences such as selected network and hidden amounts use iOS preferences. The app does not read your iPhone Contacts, location or photo library. It uses the camera only when you choose to scan a QR code; camera images are processed on-device and are not saved or uploaded by the app.

Information sent to network services

Showing balances, transaction history and staking positions requires public wallet addresses. The app sends these addresses and the relevant network or transaction identifiers to the services below. Providers can see your IP address, request time and request content. Their own retention and privacy practices apply; the app cannot control their server logs.

Hyperliquid: HyperEVM RPC, current price estimates and read-only HyperCore staking positions.
PublicNode: Ethereum and Sepolia RPC requests.
HypurrScan / HypurrTrace: indexed HyperEVM mainnet activity.
Routescan: indexed Ethereum and Sepolia activity.

Opening Portfolio requests balances for the wallets stored on this device on the selected network. Address-book names, wallet labels, goals and recovery words are not included in those requests. The app uses an ephemeral networking session without its own persistent response cache or cookies.

Public transactions and sharing

After you review and authorize a transfer, a signed transaction is sent to the chosen blockchain through its RPC service. Sender and recipient addresses, token contracts, amounts, fees and transaction identifiers become public and can be retained indefinitely on the blockchain and by indexers. These records cannot be deleted or made private by Hype Wallet. A payment request contains a public recipient address, network, asset and optional amount. Copying or sharing a request makes that information available to the destination you choose. Explorer and website links open external services with their own privacy practices.

Accounts, advertising and tracking

The app does not require an account, email address, phone number or identity verification to create a local wallet. It does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, use an advertising identifier, or track people across apps and websites for advertising. It does not sell personal information. Public blockchain activity is not anonymous merely because the app does not request your name.

Retention and your choices

Local wallet records remain on the device while the app is installed. You can edit or delete individual address-book entries and goals. Deleting the app removes its local records, but iOS Keychain items may survive app deletion. Do not treat uninstalling as proof of cryptographic key erasure. If you stop using a wallet, retain your offline recovery phrase or move any remaining assets to a separately secured wallet. Providers and blockchain networks control their own records; uninstalling cannot erase public transactions.

Support and privacy requests

If you contact support, the information you choose to send is handled to answer your request. Never include recovery words, private keys, device passcodes or sensitive screenshots. Use the public Support page for publisher contact details and privacy requests. Local records and permanent public blockchain records have different retention rules as described above.

Security and changes

The app uses iOS device protection and HTTPS network connections. No wallet can guarantee protection from a compromised device, a disclosed recovery phrase, a mistaken recipient or a blockchain failure. Changes to data handling must be reflected in this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures. Review the last-updated date when checking for changes.

This website

This static website does not contain analytics, advertisements, tracking pixels, a recovery form or a support-upload form. Fonts, scripts and images are served from the same website. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, timestamps and requested pages in server access logs. Its configured retention and privacy practices apply. Contacting support opens your own email application; no message is submitted automatically.
